The genre.

 Music magazine are mainly just targeted to a specific range of people. This is because different people like different things, e.g some people like rock however some people dislike it and might like pop instead.

This is an example of a pop genre magazine:

'We love pop' is a monthly music magazine which launched in september 2011.each issue contains 68 pages and its target audience is teenage girls aged between 13-15 years old. The contents often contains interviews with popular artists,posters, fashion&beauty and technology.

XXL is an American hip hop magazine, founded in 1997. XXL is a urban lifestyle magazine that covers all aspects of hip-hop culture. contents includes daily hip hop news, interviews with hip hop artists and posters.

The is a monthly magazine. Each issue of the magazine includes, interviews, music news, book reviews and it also includes job vacancies from that type of industry. This magazine that is normally aimed at the older generation, who are interested in classical music. Its just over an average price at £4.95, this is a price that the older generation could afford more than younger people.

This magazine is a multi genre, which is a weekly magazine. This means it includes all types of genres, which includes country, dance,  R&B/hip hop, rock and pop. This is the type of magazine someone would be interested in if they don't have a specific type of music they listen to. It is priced at around £5.

Kerrang us a UK- based magazine devoted to rock music. This is mainly aimed at teenagers who are into rock music. As it is aimed at the younger generation it is priced lowly at around £2.20.

Today i started to do some research for my music magazine. i found out there are a lot of different genres of magazines, this includes pop,rock, classical and R&B Here are some style models of music magazines:

Adding contact information to my contents page.

To add text to the shape i added at an earlier date i used the text tool:

Then i added the text. The text i included was some contents information. I added this because i think this is what a school magazine would need. i chose for the writing to be blue, i made this decision because it fits in with my colour theme throughout my magazine and it makes the writing visible because the background of the shape is white . Here is what i wrote.

Adding contact information.

Today i used the rectangle tool to add a shape at the bottom on my contents page. I will then add text to this shape. Here is what the tool looked like:

Using this tool means i could add colour to just a certain part of my contents page. I chose the colour white because it is part of my colour theme, also i chose white because the writing is going to be blue so white will make it easier to see the writing. This is the box before i have added any text, which i will do at a later date.

Adding text to my contents page.

To add text to my contents page i used the text tool, which looks like this:

Clicking this let me add a text box to my page, this let me then add text. Here is the text box that i had to add so i could add text.

Then i added my contents page text:

To make my text look the same as the it dose on my front cover, to do this i went to blending options and added effects to the text. I added the 'drop shadow', 'bevel and embross' and 'stroke' effects.
