What i am planning to do.

This week i will be focusing on my actor, the location, the costume, props and the camera angles. This is what order i will be doing them in:

Firstly i will be planning how i want my pictures to look. I will be choosing a location for my picture, my location will fit in with how i want my magazine to look. Then after choosing my location i will focus on my actor who i have already chosen to be Holly Hulse. I will mainly be focusing on the things my actor Holly will be wearing in the pictures i will also decide if i want to include any props within my picture.  i will be blogging frequently throughout this week to show what i have been doing to create my music magazine pictures. After i have thought about all of these things and decided what i want my pictures to look like i will then starting taking my pictures.

Research reflection.

My previous posts have looked into all the different genres of music magazines, the styles of them and what types of artist/bands they feature.  To do this research i have mainly used the internet but i have also looked at real magazines covers that had be bought from a shop. Doing this helped me to see what different types of genres there are, after doing plenty of research i have decided to focus my music magazine on the pop genre.

I have therefore decided to create a music magazine that will be aimed at teenage girls at the age of 14-18 years old. The social status of my target audience will be teens and because of this my music magazine will be priced at £2.50,because this is the normal price for a magazine like this such as 'We love pop' and i think this is an affordable price for teenagers to be able to buy my magazine at. My genre will be pop and will feature bands and artists such as one direction, justin Bieber and Beyonce. Here is an example of a pop magazine.

My work will now concentrate on preparing a photo shoot for at least four appropriate original photos, for my artist to feature on my front cover, double page spread and contents page.

The bands and artist featured in we love pop magazine are, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Ed sheeran. These artist are all global as they are known from all around the world. This is why 'we love pop magazine' would be popular because they feature love.

  Adele, Trey Songz and Beyoncé are all artists that are regularly featured in billboard magazine, these are all globally known and this is why they are often featured in this magazine, to get the audience interested to buy it.

XXL magazines regular artists include Fetty Wap, Chris Brown and Kendrick Lamar. They are all well known globally and are very popular in the hip-hop industry. This is why people purchase issues of the magazine so they can see what is happening with these celebrity's. 



   






























Key information about my style models.

We love pop music magazine is aimed at teenage females at the age of 12-15 years old. It is aimed at middle/lower class.













Billboard music magazine is aimed at both males and females teenagers (15-19). It is aimed a middle class.












XXL music magazine is aimed at more older males at the age of 20-45 years old. It is aimed at middle class as it is priced at just under £6.

We Love Pop is published by  Immediate Media Company. So far there Is 56 issues of we love pop magazines out and the 57th issue is coming out of the 17th of November 2015.

Billboard:

Billboard is owned by Prometheus global media. Prometheus global media is New York City based media company that was formed in December 2009.  There are now 16,327 issues of billboard magazine out so far.

XXL:

XXL is an American hip-hop magazine published by Townsquare Media, founded in 1997. The next issue of XXL is due to come out on the 12th of January 2016. 



Style models.

These are some style models that i could possibly look at to base my magazine on.

We love pop:

We love pop is a magazine model that i will be focusing on the most. Issues of the magazine are produced monthly. This magazine is priced at around £2.99 for each issue. It is mainly aimed at teenage girls because it has the latest pop artist in and it also often has a free beauty gift inside. The front cover and contents page is very full and stands out, this could bring peoples attention to this magazine in a shop.

    

Bilboard:

Billboard is a music magazine that is multi- genre, this means it contains many different genres in each issue, because of this it is aimed at a wider target audience. It is priced at around £5 and this is because more people are willing to pay a higher price because it contains more than one genre in the magazine. Each issue comes out monthly, the style of the front cover and contents page is simple but still gives readers the information they need.

XXL:

XXL is a Hip-hop based magazine that is targeted at mainly males. This magazine is priced at £5.39 which is quite high for a music magazine. The front cover and contents page are very bold and the colours used are mainly just red and black, this could be to make the magazine look powerful and help it to stand out and attract people to buy it.

       

My music interest.

Pop:

Out of all the genres my favourite type is pop, i enjoy is because it is mainly very upbeat and sometimes relatable, some of my favourite pop artist are Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Adele, all of these artist are different form each other but they still all make fantastic songs,in my opinion.



Hip Hop:

Another genre i am interested in it hip-hop. This interests be because it can be personal to somebody and they tell the realism of life, this makes it more special to listen to, also hip-hop songs have beats in the background that make the songs ones that you could dance to and enjoy yourself. Some of my favourite hip-hop artist are Kanye West, Chris Brown and Eminem, they all have a unique style.
